THAT WOULD BE TELLING
It appears to me that all the philosophical writings which I have read are
Driven and articulated by the urge to TELL. This of course means that every
philosophy I've come across is dominated by the degree of psychological
awareness of the particular philosopher.
This obsession to tell another how it is, how it was, how it will be, how it
works, etc, etc, etc is a form of competition.
Why competition? Because the urge to tell is a psychological response to
having been TOLD. It's like a striking BACK…in an attempt to be free of the
other TELLERS.
O.K. but what about actually FEELING FREE?
To FEEL free one has to be free oneself of the `telling obsession'.
If philosophy is the love of wisdom…and it is wise to not tell, what is a non-
telling philosophy like? Could it be a non-written philosophy? A way of life, a
state of Being, a form of nourishment, a state of psychological health?
Any participant in this philosophy would have no interest in competing with
other so called philosophers. No interest in competing for attention. No
sense of being RIGHT, no drive to convince.
This `telling…..telling-back' obsessive performance is the ruling mode of the
global consensus `mind'.
A history of rhetorical speech and writing which has been shaped by its own
Intractable frustration, being the ongoing outcome of its own lumbering
attitudes.
Thrashing about inside its own mind-spun over-cooked spaghetti…`we gotta
get out of this mess'…is the omnipresent cry for MORE MOVEMENT.
MORE…MORE…MORE…As if an eventual imagined state of satisfaction could come into being through `doing something'.
This massive psychological spaghetti mess is kept on the boil by those who
have no overview on their own state of mind, or their own activity. They are
therefore incapable of realising how stupid and ignorant they are.
And what do you imagine makes this psychological mess more agitated?
Why it's TELLING the stupid, ignorant egos that they are stupid, ignorant egos.
The man could have said "anyone not caught in this mess…walk away!"
But that's still `a TELLING'. Even walking away could be `A TELLING'.
What about being still? Not the IDEA of being still. Being still.
